Police, OSHA seek clues in Marco Island electrocution

Investigators from the Marco Island Police Department as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration continue looking into the death of a tree-trimmer who was working on Marco Island this morning. "Apparently an individual was attempting to trim trees in the proximity of some power lines," Marco Island Fire-Rescue Chief Mike Murphy said.The city's fire department received a call of a possible electrocution at 1650 Copeland Drive at approximately 10:58 a.m.Rescue crews arrived on scene minutes later. The man who was electrocuted was still strapped to a palm tree about 20 feet up and being assisted by another co-worker, Murphy said.
