Arcsight touts new channel friendly appliances

solutions, has announced an expansion to its ArcSight Log Management Suite that provides an easy entry point for channel sales to deliver log management capabilities across their customer bases.

The enhancement to the ArcSight Log Management Suite is that the solution is now being offered as a standalone log management product.

According to Chris Peterson, vice-president of worldwide channels at ArcSight, offering the Log Management Suite as a standalone was very important.

"Log retention and log management rules around corporate governance and compliance such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and especially PCI have many customers being required to collect these logs and retain them period for a period of up to seven years," he said. "As a standalone product, (Log Management Suite) offers customers a log management solution with a very large capacity to store these logs and meet the log retention requirements from the various rules and regulations."
