Compliance – no big deal at FNB

If the staff at FNB Cresta are to be believed, the secure management of client documents is no big deal and in fact "Not our responsibility". I was gob smacked when I was told by the Forex manager that "just because we have received a cheque from you and deposited it, doesn't mean we are responsible for handling it"

My escapades with FNB began back in November 2007 when I routinely deposited a Foreign exchange cheque into my wife's account for the sum of R531. Everything seemed to go fine until my wife noticed the funds had been reversed so she got a copy of her bank statement to investigate.
