EtQ Introduces Clustering Technology To Speed Performance, Create High-Availability

www.pharmaceuticalonline.com

EtQ has introduced clustering as a technology option for EtQ Reliance Quality Management system, designed to provide enhanced performance and high-availability within the EtQ application environment.

Clustering is the is the ability to interconnect multiple servers and application environments, either to enhance performance or to serve as redundancies in the event of a single or multiple system failure. Typically, clustering is used to combine multiple computers to work closely together to act as a single computer, either to improve the overall computing power, or as a redundancy for any system failures. EtQ provides clustering environments for both of these purposes.

Performance Clustering with EtQ enables multiple computers to effectively balance the computing load across multiple application environments. Using clustering enables a large organization with many users to optimize the performance capabilities of EtQ Reliance, especially when many thousands of tasks are executed per second.
