It is vital to ensure that the emission levels of RFID equipment are measured to ensure compliance with FCC and FDA regulations and in particular with CFR 47 which regulates the Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) limits for human exposure to Radio Frequency Electromagnetic fields. Magellan Technology wishes to endorse, most strongly, the requirement to include MPE limit compliance in all considerations of RFID platforms and standards.
