OSHA Online Training Program Added to Select Safety Sales' Safety Products and Sevices

(June 3, 2009) - Forming a collaboration with 360 Training, Select Safety Sales offer OSHA Training Online for Construction and General Industry. "We are fortunate to align ourselves with one of the few online training programs that have been accepted by OSHA," said Matt Kane, Managing Member of Select Safety Sales. "They offer one of the most comprehensive selections of online courses for Occupational Safety and Health Training," he states.

OSHA's Training Programs have been offered through various channels to hundreds of thousands of workers annually. The added benefit of online training is that it provides both cost and time efficiency to employers that offer this training to their workers. This is especially important in today's economy. Workers are able to train at their own pace and schedule therefore avoiding time constraints with their jobs. Also, employers are able to provide the most cost efficient means for this to be accomplished.

Some States, such as New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Missouri require OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training for various sized publicly funded construction projects. More states are working towards this same goal. Wallet size course completion cards are given to students after successful completion of the course to show that employees have met this requirement. "We feel that we are right on track offering this training now especially with the stimulus funds flowing down to the construction industry," comments Kane. "Employers can have their workers all ready with their cards in hand to prove that they have completed the training," he adds.

While online training emphasizes hazard prevention and control, it is accomplished by engaging the worker in an interactive multimedia setting which makes it an enjoyable learning experience. There are over one hundred OSHA online training courses to choose from starting from general overviews down to industry specific hazards training. Certain courses are also offered in Spanish. "Business owners and their employees both benefit significantly with this training by reducing their risk of injury and fatalities," states Kane. "We feel that this online training is going to be a real added value for our customers," Kane says.
